About OLIVE
About OLIVE

Olive Kindergarten offers bilingual education (Japanese and English) from early childhood to prepare children for the global society of the 21st century. We provide a rich English curriculum through diverse activities and programs throughout the entire school years. Rooted in Montessori education, we aim to foster children's independence and unlock their potential. Additionally, our comprehensive approach nurtures not only academic skills but also the development of a healthy mind and body.

Our nursery was featured in the Hokkaido Shimbun newspaper's "Mana View."

Every year, the children take the Eiken test for children, with all the younger children achieving bronze, the middle children achieving silver, and the older children achieving gold. By the time they graduated, they had also passed the Eiken Test (Test in Practical English Proficiency) Level 3. Even after graduating, some of the children continued to take the test, and even passed Level 2.*
*Students remain enrolled in Olive After School even after graduating from kindergarten.

Bilingual Education
Bilingual
During early childhood, a sensitive period for language acquisition, children naturally learn both Japanese and English while having fun. Native teachers provide daily instruction exclusively in English, helping children learn practical expressions through role-play and games. Phonics-based reading sessions also develop reading skills.

Body/Art/Literature
Body, Literature, Art Education
In the hip-hop dance class, children develop rhythm and expression, showcasing their progress at the annual Christmas concert. The physical education class focuses on building physical abilities and etiquette. The art class incorporates recent trends like clinical art, guided by instructors to foster creativity and artistic skills.
Education Based on the Bible
Chapel Hour
Summarizing the Bible as a whole, it revolves around "living through three loves." We are all born to be loved and to love. Thus, our educational goal is to nurture a life guided by the Bible's three loves: loving oneself, loving one's neighbor, and loving the true God.
※At our kindergarten, we emphasize biblical ethics and moral education based on Christian principles. However, we do not engage in any religious proselytizing.
